Lead-bound glasses, hand-painted using the ancient “grisaille” technique intended for classic environments, as well as modern stained glass for contemporary living spaces. Glass sculptures, refined lamps, and furnishings, real unique pieces with which you can enrich your home.
Grisaille Stained Glass
The “grisaille” technique represents the art of painting medieval stained glass, an ancient tradition that has reached its peak over the years. Blown glass tiles, which make up the structure of stained glass, are hand-painted with metallic oxides and fired in an oven at temperatures of about 650°C.
This process has earned the glassworks recognition of excellence in the industry, becoming the focal point of high-level commissions.
Leaded Glass
Leaded glass windows are real mosaics, composed of colored glasses “bound” together through lead profiles welded together. These fascinating artifacts can enhance domestic spaces when mounted on wooden frames or doors. Tomanin Glassworks has consolidated its presence in the industry by collaborating with prominent design and interior design studios, accumulating extensive experience in the production of interior furnishings, both public and private.
Their expertise is made available to customers to meet exclusive and unique requests, offering consultation on the arrangement of stained glass to ensure the desired result.
Sandblasting
Sandblasting is a decorative technique that exploits the abrasive power of sand to create suggestive designs on glass. Tomanin offers a wide range of subjects created with this technique, intended to enrich doors and furnishings of various shapes and sizes. It is possible to choose from classic, floral, and modern subjects suitable for any context.
Moreover, custom designs can be developed upon customer or designer request, providing graphic simulations to study the arrangement of the works. All creations are made on glass that complies with current safety and thermal-acoustic insulation regulations.
Customer satisfaction is guaranteed thanks to the achieved results and prestigious commissions carried out over the years.
Sacred Art
The workshop specialises in the creation and restoration of works with a sacred subject, thanks to its knowledge of ancient lead-bound glassmaking techniques and medieval and sacred iconography. Sacred art is an area that encompasses a wide range of works of art and objects of religious significance. These pieces are often created with great attention to detail and symbolism, and are used in the context of worship, liturgy and devotion. Sacred iconography refers to the representation of religious subjects through art. Stained glass windows are coloured windows made of stained glass and lead.
These stained glass windows are often found in churches and places of worship. Each stained glass window tells a biblical story or represents a saint or a sacred event. The stained glass windows in Chartres cathedral in France are a famous example of this genre. Sacred art has a profound spiritual and cultural importance and continues to inspire artists and worshippers all over the world.
