Bowl Fukui
A bowl of high craftsmanship, with details reminiscent of precious branches, that design the metal surface of these limited numbered works of art. The light reflects and refracts the colour of the metals, creating a visual and sensorial play of rare suggestion. But the beauty and novelty of the collection is linked to the peculiarity of being ‘against the tide’.
A ‘repaired’ object contains many experiences. In the same way, the wrinkles on a face tell of the life of its protagonist.
In Japan – a culture sensitive and attentive to everyday aesthetics – repairing broken objects is an ancient art, full of subdued beauty: it is Kintsugi. The presence of a cut, a chip, a nick, becomes a new language capable of enriching the aesthetic vocabulary of the object.
