In the Zanetto laboratory, the artisans dedicate their skills exclusively to noble metals such as brass, copper, bronze, silver and gold. The process begins with cutting the shapes using specialized shears, followed by molding to obtain precise sketches. Subsequent turning is performed manually using plate lathes. Blanking and trimming are performed manually to obtain holes and finish the pieces with precision. Beading refines edges through the use of special rollers, while hammering can shape, harden or decorate the metal. Chiseling creates details and decorations with the use of special hammers and gravers. Mounting involves soldering handles and other elements using silver-containing solders.
Sanding eliminates welding traces and imperfections, using files and abrasive papers. The finishing phase precedes manual polishing, which takes place through three phases using different materials to obtain a mirror finish. Subsequently, the object is subjected to degreasing and galvanic treatments, such as silvering or gilding. Each creation is marked with the hallmark of the brand and the most representative works are categorized as ‘numbered works’. The process is completed with careful packaging, which includes a warranty certificate, a fabric case and customized rigid cardboard boxes to preserve the product from oxidizing agents.
